David F. Ferry, 91, formerly of 104 Janeway St., Kane, died Thursday afternoon, Aug. 25, 2011 at The Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born Feb. 18, 1920 in Gilfoyle, Forest County, he was the son of John and Clara Greeley Ferry. On Sept. 10, 1942 in Jamestown, N.Y., he married Fern I. Anderson, who died in 1996.
Mr. Ferry served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the 112th Infantry as a rifleman and cook, and received the Purple Heart for wounds received in The Battle of the Bulge, plus several other medals.
