Mayme Carmen Carlson

Mayme Carmen Carlson died Sunday, Nov. 11 in Tucson, Ariz.
She was born Jan. 21, 1921 in Saybrook, Pa. to Angeline Frontera and James Servedio.
She was married to Kurt Carlson. Mayme was a longtime resident of Wilcox until moving to Arizona in 1965. She worked as a bookkeeper but enjoyed entertaining with her beautiful piano playing. 
She is survived by her sisters, Ann Hallberg of Kane and Maxine Nelson of Ludlow; her children, Judy, Scott and Linda; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Ruth E. Buhl

Ruth E. Buhl, 98, of 36 Pine St., Wellsville, N.Y., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012 at the Hart Comfort House in Wellsville.
She was born Aug. 6, 1914 in Mt. Jewett, the daughter of arl and Emma (Malmstrom) Bengtson. She graduated from Kane Area High School and Clarion State Teachers College. She was a longtime resident of Kane when she taught school and later was the manager of the Sears store there. In 1999 she moved to Wellsville to be closer to her family.

Helen E. "Bonney" Vito, age 88, of Albuquerque, N.M. died peacefully Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, after a two-month struggle with injuries suffered in a fall at home.
She was born Feb. 11, 1924 in Battle Creek, Mich. to Albert Bonney and Eva I. Long. She attended school in Jackson, Mich. and graduated from high school in 1941.
She met Frank Vito, an Army veteran from WWII (from 229 Beech St., Kane) in Washington, D.C. in 1946 and they were married in Jackson, Mich. on Sept. 2, 1948.
