Joseph S. Sivak, 80, of 320 Haines St., passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012, at the Lutheran Home at Kane where he was a recent resident.
Born April 24, 1931, in Binghamton, N.Y., he was a son of Mathias and Anna Rohlicek Sivak. On June 30, 1956, in Kane, he married Carol Zimmerman who preceded him in death.
He had worked at Holgate before entering the U.S. Army where he served during the Korean War, attaining the rank of Sergeant. Upon his return, he again was employed by Holgate, later by Stackpole and finally worked for Kane Magnetics until his retirement.
