George E. Matis, 57, of 785 Wetmore Road, passed away suddenly on Monday, April 9, 2012, at Kane Community Hospital.
Born Sept. 6, 1954, in Kane, he was a son of the late George and Leverna Larson Matis.
George was a dairy farmer for many years and sold milk to several different producers in the area. He was also head sawyer for Kane Hardwood where he had been employed for 35 years.
