Thelma L. Johnson, 80, of 290 Burdick Lane, Kane, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayetteville, N.C.
Thelma was born in Commodore, PA, on Nov. 14, 1931, the daughter of the late Mead and Lola Ludwig. Thelma graduated from Johnstown Central High School in the class of 1949. She was a member of Tabor Lutheran Church where she served in many capacities including Sunday School Teacher, Funeral Committee, Lucia Committee and Lydia Circle.
Julia E. “Judy” Bressler, 93, formerly of Johnsonburg, passed away Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at the Lutheran Home at Kane where she had been a resident since 1996.
Born March 3, 1919, in Renova, she was a daughter of the late LeRoy F. and Emma Stewart Bressler.
Miss Bressler lived most of her life in Johnsonburg and was a member of the Methodist Church there and had worked for the Stackpole Corporation until her retirement in 1970. She was also a member of the D.A.R.
