James F. Perry, 74, formerly a longtime Kane resident, passed away peacefully in his Doraville, Ga. home on Dec. 28, 2011 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Mr. Perry was an Air Force veteran and retired as the Plant Manager of Southern Tea in Atlanta, Ga. He is survived by his second wife, Judy Camp Perry of Doraville, sons James P. Perry of Kane, Jon R. Perry (Joni) of Pittsburgh and daughter Jodi E. Perry of Manassas, Va., three stepchildren, one brother, three sisters and 16 grandchildren.
Dorothy J. Hurlburt, 82, of 7 Bridge St., Mt. Jewett, died Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, at Kane Community Hospital.
Born April 9, 1929, in Tioga County, she was a daughter of Peter F. and Cora Ann Slocum Jones. On Dec. 18, 1944, in Whitesville, N.Y., she married Andrew J. Hurlburt who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Hurlburt, a homemaker, is survived by three daughters, Juanita (Frankie) Cornelius of Mt. Jewett, Norma (William) Way of Irvine and Pat Camatti in California; a son, Duane Hurlburt of Andover, N.Y.; 20 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a brother, Paul Jones of Hornell, N.Y.

Violet “Vee” M. Lamberson, 98, of New Haven Court, 100 Freedom Way, Greensburg, and formerly of 100 Hemlock Ave., Kane, died Jan. 2, 2012, at her residence.
Born Sept. 6, 1913, in Ellicottville, N.Y., she was a daughter of Frank H. and Kittie Lovelace Kifer. She was married at St. Callistus Catholic Church to George J. Lamberson who preceded her in death in 1997.
