Wayne D. Rapp, 78, of 269 Highland Rd., Kane, died Wednesday morning, Dec. 3, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness. Arrangements, in the care of the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc., are incomplete and will be announced.

William Carl Smith of Plano, Texas, died peacefully at his home Friday, Nov. 28, 2014 surrounded by his children, some grandchildren and a few great-grandchildren.
Born Oct. 20, 1930, in Rixford, he was a son of Lloyd Dowler and Agnes Marie Kruise Smith. He grew up on a farm and during his childhood, he took up other pastimes such as playing the drums, bugle and football. He spoke often to his grandchildren about a raft that he built and loved to take out on the creek but which was lost during the great Smethport rainstorm of 1942 when 30.8 inches of rain fell in 4.5 hours.
Mrs. Mabel Louise Rumbaugh, 89, of Parker, S.D., formerly of Burrows Road, Pleasantville, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014.
Mabel was born Dec. 21, 1924 in Kushequa to the late Thomas and Mary Downing Keeley. She married the late Harry Rumbaugh on May 31, 1945 in Titusville. He preceded her in death July 31, 2007.
Mabel graduated from Mt. Jewett High School in 1943 and then from the Shadyside Hospital School of Nursing in 1951.
She was a nurse at the Titusville Area Hospital for 45 years until her retirement in 1990.
James W. Asp, 45, of 130 Greeves St., Kane, died late Sunday morning, Nov. 30, 2014 at the home of his parents at 15 Asp Ln. following an extended illness.
Born Sept. 16, 1969 in Kane, he was the son of Alan and Deborah Asp Asp.Â
He had been a cook at The Waffle Shop in State College as well as at a country club, also in State College.
Jim was a member of Emmanuel Mission Church in Kane and of the Lamont Community Association.
Marilyn Louise Durnell, 76, of Warren, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014, surrounded by her family.
Marilyn was born Aug. 23, 1938, in Warren. She is the daughter of the late Merle and Genevieve Marlett Eames.
Marilyn was a 1956 graduate of Warren High School. She had worked at various locations in the Warren area and was previously the president of the Warren and Forest ARC. Marilyn was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother--she was truly committed to her family and faith in God.

Sally Jo Cleer, 78, of 171 Longview Dr., died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014 at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh.
Born Feb. 7, 1936, in Sigel, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Sybil Wise Cook. In the spring of 1955, she married Clarence "Clem" Cleer in Kane.Â
Together, Sally and Clem owned and operated the Longview Inn in Kane for several years. Over the years, Sally also worked for Dr. Bentz, the Kane Community Hospital, Stackpole and Highlander Energy.
Lillian Leonard, 89, formerly of Kanesholm, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2014 at the Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born April 8, 1925, inÂ Buffalo, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Julius and Margaret Jonat Selig. On Dec. 18, 1948, in Buffalo, she married Ralph "Bud" Leonard who preceded her in death.
Lillian loved to sing in the church choir at St. Callistus Catholic Church where she was employed as the church secretary for many years. She also had worked at UPS, was employed as switchboard operator at the Kane Community Hospital and served as a volunteer at the Friends' Memorial Public Library.
Sally Cleer, 78, of 172 Longview Dr., died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014 at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh.

Allen W. "Buzz" Buzard, 84, formerly of 211 1/2 Tionesta Ave., Kane, died Saturday afternoon, Nov. 22, 2014 at The Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born March 19, 1930 in Corsica, he was the son of Reynolds L. and Mary A. Coulter Buzard. On May 3, 1948 in Brookville, he married Mary L. McAninch, who survives.
Mr. Buzard had worked at the family business, R.L. Buzard Lumber in Jefferson County, for 15 years; Howes Leather in Mt. Jewett for 18 years, and finally for RichGas in Kane for 37 years. He retired to Surfside Beach, S.C. in 2009 for four years, returning to Kane in 2012.
