Joni J. Bednar Capoccioni, 51, of New Bethlehem, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family.
She was born Dec. 5, 1962, in Natrona Heights, a daughter of John J. Bednar of Kane, and the late Dorothy Wojcik Bednar.
Joni worked as a bookkeeper for Bednar Metals in Kane. She loved caring for her â€śfarmâ€ť of animals, enjoyed cooking, and spending time with her family.
Robert L. Gerhart, 84, formerly of 525 Greeves St., Kane, died early Sunday morning, Nov. 9, 2014 at The Lutheran Home at Kane, where he resided.
Born March 24, 1930 in Kane, he was the son of Louis and Sara Heasley Gerhart. On June 8, 1957 in Kane, he married Edythe Swedenjelm, who survives.
Mr. Gerhart worked in the paint line at Stackpole Corp. in Kane for many years. He was a C.B. Radio enthusiast, going by the handle "Ringo"; enjoyed drawing and woodworking, and was a music aficionado, with the Beatles being his favorite.
Irene A. Townsend, 95, of 443 Bayard St., died Monday, Nov. 3, 2014 at the Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born June 12, 1919, in Renovo, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Mills McCloskey.Â On Jan. 31, 1942, in Port Allegany, she married Robert Townsend who preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 2001.
Mrs. Townsend, a homemaker, had worked at Sylvania during World War II. She had also previously served as a den mother with the Cub Scouts for many years.
Bruce E. Horam, 81, a resident of The Lutheran Home at Kane, formerly of 524 1/2 Tionesta Ave., Kane, died Saturday afternoon, Nov. 1, 2014 at the Kane Community Hospital.
Born Feb. 10, 1933 in Mt. Jewett, he was the son of Harry and Elizabeth Horam Horam. On July 16, 1955 in Greenwood, he married Eva Moore, who died in 2010.
Mr. Horam served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War,Â from which heÂ received the Purple Heart.
He had worked at the Tannery in Wilcox, then at Kane Handle, and later at Erie Industrial Clark - Erie as a forklift mechanic.

Lucille Harriett Lynch-Beebe, 89, of Biglerville, formerly of Kane, died Monday, Oct. 27, 2014 at her sonâ€™s home.Â
Born on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 1925 in Wilcox, she was a daughter of the late Thomas P. and Emily Hallberg Eshbaugh.Â She was also preceded in death by three sons, Paul Stanko, Brad Stanko and Timothy Lynch and by her soul mate Anton Schulz-Peters.
John E. "Jack" Snyder, 82, of Reynolds Street inÂ Kane, died Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 29, 2014 at his residence. Arrangements, in the care of the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc., are incomplete and will be announced.

Robert Jon Williamson, 49, died Sept. 23, 2014 in Plantation, Fla.
He was born Dec. 17, 1964 in Kane, son of Joann and Robert Williamson.
John W. Darr, 90, of Laughlintown, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014 at his home surrounded by the love and prayers of his family.â€¨He was born Sept. 29, 1924 in Ligonier, a son of the late Russell and Nettie Stern Darr.â€¨Prior to his retirement in 1986 he had been employed by Kennametal for over 30 years. He was a veteran of World War II having served with the Air Force. His memberships include the Calvary United Methodist Church where he had served on church council, was a lay leader, and taught Sunday school.
Homer Eugene Repine, 87, of Weldbank, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014 at the Rouse Home following a lengthy illness.
Gene was born July 8, 1927, in Dayton, son of the late Homer H. and Callie N. Lydick Repine.
