Beverly A. Kepler, 80, formerly of Route 321, Kane, died Saturday morning, Dec. 14, 2013 at The Lutheran Home at Kane.Â Arrangements are in the care of the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. and will be announced in tomorrow's edition.

Don L. Blauser, 56, of 15 School St. in East Kane, died early Friday morning, Dec. 13, 2013 at his residence.
Born Nov. 27, 1957 in Kane, he was the son of William A. and Hazel B. Slagle Blauser.Â On Nov. 27, 1982 in Kane, he married Amy E. Park, who survives.
Mr. Blauser worked at Kane Magnetics for 27 years, and enjoyed watching sports.
John P. Straneva, 86, of 25 Water St., Ludlow, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013 at his residence.
Born Jan. 8, 1927, in Ludlow, he was a son of the late Stephen and Katherine Patilla Straneva.Â On Dec. 3, 1960, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Sheffield, he married Patrika M. Erikson who survives.
During World War II, Mr. StranevaÂ served in the Merchant Marines. After 50 years of service, he retired as a foremanÂ from National Forge.
Helen K. Micheau, 89, ofÂ 108 Wetmore Ave., Kane, died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013 at Warren Manor in Warren.
Born April 6, 1924, in Kane, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Verna Tussey Wade.Â On Jan. 5, 1946, in Kane, she married Clarence W. Micheau who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Micheau, a graduate of the Kane High School,Â class of 1942,Â was an active member of the First United Methodist Church where she belonged to the United Methodist Women, the Joanna Circle, and served as a trustee.Â She also was a member of the choir for 40 years.
John P. Straneva, 86, of Water St. in Ludlow, died early Wednesday morning at his residence. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc.
Larry Grant Johnson, 65, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013 in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Born Oct. 24, 1948 in Kane, he was the son of the late Howard Leroy Johnson and Cora Genevieve Douglas Johnson.
Larry graduated from Smethport High School, and continued his studies for two years at Clackamus College. He excelled in his profession as truck driver for Walmart for over 20 years. When not on the road, he enjoyed the outdoors, and spending time with his family and pets in their log cabin in the woods.
Jean Richardson, 84, of 86 Richardson Ln., Kane, died Wednesday morning, Nov. 27, 2013 at the Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born Nov. 13, 1929 in Parker, she was the daughter of Melvin and Helen Hackett Sloan.Â On Nov. 24, 1978 in Kane, she married Floyd L. Richardson, who died in 1999.
A homemaker, Jean was an avid gardener.
She is survived by three sons, Ronald R. Kerr of Atlanta, Ga., Jerry Richter of Pontiac, Mich. and Thomas Kerr of Kane, plus four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Helge Peterson, 92, of 5 Pete Ln., Mt. Jewett,Â died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013.
Born June 8, 1921, in Mt. Jewett, he was a son ofÂ the late Ernest and Anna Peterson.Â On April 19, 1947, in Johnsonburg, he married Patricia Parana who survives.
Before hisÂ retirement in 1979,Â he had been employed by National Fuel. He was a member of the Mt. Jewett VFW Post 6347 and American Legion Post 574 as well as St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Air Force.
George Kelley, 72, of 140 W. Main Street, Mt. Jewett, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2013 at his residence.
Born Nov. 11, 1941, in Kane, he was a son ofÂ the late George and Louise Carlson Kelley.
Mr. Kelley had been employed by Kodak and later by Warren State Hospital from which he retired.
George W. Hollabaugh, 70, of 612 North Fraley St., Kane, died Saturday evening, Nov. 23, 2013 at his residence.
Born Jan. 24, 1943 in Guys Mills, he was the son of Glenn M. and Ethel E. Baker Hollabaugh.Â On Sept. 7, 1967 in Frewsburg, N.Y., he married Diana Lynn Walters, who survives.
George had been a logger and later worked in maintenance at Cera Mag and Stackpole Corp. in Kane.
He was a member of the First Church of GodÂ and the VFW Post #1132, both in Kane, and was both a craftsman and an avid gardener.
