Richard L. Dahl, 82, of 7061 Route 6, died Monday, March 17, 2014 at his residence.
Born Jan. 17, 1932, in Kane, he was a son ofÂ the late Elof and Ranghild Johnson Dahl. On June 14, 1963, in Kane, he married Adeline "Addy" Damico who survives.
Mr. Dahl attended college in Williamsport where he studied mechanics. He then worked as a service representative for Dresser Industries in Olean, N.Y., traveling to six continents as he installed and serviced gas turbines and large industrial equipment around the world. After 31 years of service he retired in 1986.
Doris Marie Bonini, 80, of 10 Dayton St., Mt. Jewett, died Saturday, March 15, 2014 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family and faithful companion, A.J.
Born Feb. 13, 1934, in Brookville, she was a daughter of the late Amer and Marie Moore Silvis. On May 15, 1954, in Mt. Jewett, she married William Bonini who survives. Mr. and Mrs. Bonini would have celebrated their 60th anniversary this May 15.Â
Judith Ann Raymondo, 75, was born June 13, 1938 and died Friday, Feb. 14, 2014.Â
I am Judyâ€™s husband, Frank, and I would like to tell you about the wonderful woman I was married to for over 50 years. We were a military family and were fortunate to have only been apart from each other one time while I served in Vietnam. That was a difficult time for Judy as she took care of our young son alone; she handled this challenge, as she would handle everything else in her life, with a smile and quiet determination.
Sue A. Long, 76, of 601 Smithfield Avenue, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Kane Community Hospital.
Born March 11, 1938, atÂ DeYoung, she was a daughter of Floyd and Verlie Adams Slocum.Â On Aug. 7, 1959, in Kane, she married Robert Long who preceded her in death.
Sue, a member of the United Methodist Church,Â had been a manager of the former Widman's Drug Store and later worked at the Market Basket in Kane. She also enjoyed spendingÂ time watching her grandsons.
Ruth H. Cooper, 101, of 4689 Union Road, Buffalo, N.Y., died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at her residence.
Born July 6, 1912, in Kane, she was a daughter of Gust and Anna Karlson Holt.
Mrs. Cooper was a beautician and proprietor of her own beauty salon.
Glenda R. Causer, 77, of 404 Dewey Ave., Hazel Hurst, died on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 surrounded by her family at Kane Community Hospital.
Born April 14, 1936, in Shawmut, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Martha Pontious Himes.Â On Jan. 29, 1955, she married Claude Causer Jr., who survives.
Glenda was employed by the Lutheran Home at Kane before her retirement.Â She was a lifelong member of the Hazel Hurst United Methodist Church.Â Â
Derek M. Wilson, 29, formerly of Kane, died unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 21, 2014 at his home in Fort Collins, Colo.
He was born Nov. 1, 1984 in Kane to Beverly L. Wilson and Terry A. Wasurek, and was raised by his mother and Daniel Rook of Kane.
After graduating from Kane Area High School, he joined the U.S. Army for eight years, became an Army Ranger and served two tours, one in Iraq and the other in Afghanistan, then was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant.
Derek was a member of the Gold Prospectors Association of America, a hobby he greatly enjoyed.
Mary J. Bires, 87, of Ludlow, died Friday, Feb. 28, 2014 at the Kane Community Hospital after an extended illness.
She was born April 13, 1926 in Lamont, the daughter of the late Alois and Mary Prokop.Â Her childhood was spent in James City.
She was a graduate of the Kane Area High School and had been employed by Holgate Brothers in Kane.
In 1950 she married John P. Bires in Kane.Â She was a faithful member of St. Callistus Catholic Church
Derek M. Wilson, 29, of Fort Collins, Colo., formerly of Kane, died unexpectedly early Tuesday morning, Feb. 25, 2014 at his home.
Arrangements, in the care of the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc., are incomplete and will be announced.

Doris M. Srock, 90, formerly of Yarnall Street, then Central Towers, Kane, died early Tuesday morning, Feb. 25, 2014 at The Lutheran Home at Kane, where she resided the past few months.
Born April 22, 1923 in Houtzdale, she was the daughter of Gordon and Mary Mays Haines.Â On Sept. 21, 1943 in Houtzdale, she married Richard C. Srock, who died in 1997.
Mrs. Srock had worked in retail, mostly for the former Broadbent-Stiteler in Kane, for many years.
