Sally Nelson O’Brien

Sally Nelson O’Brien, 53, died at home on Friday, Nov. 22, 2013 in Durham, N.C.
Sally was born in Wooster, Ohio on Aug. 2, 1960 to Maxine and Tom Nelson, of Ludlow, who survive. Also surviving is her husband, Larry O’Brien, and her two daughters, Jessica Blakely and Amy Blakely, also of Durham, N.C.; two sisters, Gwen Nelson (Mike) Bengfort of The Woodlands, Texas, and Patty Nelson (Chris) Merrifield of Atlanta, Ga.; and a niece, Maggie Merrifield.

George W. Hollabaugh, 70, of 612 North Fraley St., Kane, died Saturday evening, Nov. 23, 2013 at his residence.
Arrangements, under the care of the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home,  Inc., are incomplete and will be announced.

Margaret F. Dean

Margaret F. Dean, 85, formerly of James City, died Sunday morning, Nov. 17, 2013 at the Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born May 2, 1928, in Highland, she was a daughter of  Samuel and Fena Bell Oyler. On April 26, 1947, in Clarion, she married John G. Dean Sr. who preceded her in death.

Joanne M. Farr

Joanne M. Farr, 100, formerly of 72 Fraley St., died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013 at the Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born Nov. 20, 1912, in Kane, she was a daughter of  the late Leo and Antoinette Emer Tornatela. On July 26, 1947, in Kane,  she married James Edward Farr who died in 2000.
For many years, Mrs. Farr and Peggy Shinafelt owned the Garden and Gift Shop on Fraley Street. She was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church.
Surviving are a sister, Ellen Bifano of Kane, and several nieces and nephews.

Kay L. Lindquist

Kay L. Lindquist, 78, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at Pleasant Ridge Manor West.
She was born in Kane on Oct. 18, 1935, the daughter of the late George K. and Pearl L. Thompson Lamper.
She attended school in Jamestown and was a licensed beautician.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Glenn E. Lamper, Clinton C. Lamper, Claire Lamper, Ernest Lamper and George D. Lamper; and three sisters, Marie Arnold, Lucille Morris and Faye Ingersoll.

Patricia Fanning Welser

Patricia Fanning Welser, 58, of Wattsburg and formerly of Kane, died Monday morning, Nov. 11, 2013, at her residence following a courageous six-year battle with cancer.
She was born in Norristown, N.J. on Nov. 10, 1955 a daughter of the late Patsy and Elizabeth Schwarz Fanning Vito.

Hazel Bell Samples

Hazel Bell Samples went to be with her Lord on the 8th of November at the age of 91.
She was the daughter of the late William and Myrtle Bell. 
She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Edgar L. Samples. She was the devoted mother of four children, Sharon (Tim) Bond, Chris, Wayne, and Norman (Kathy) Samples. She was the loving grandmother of seven grandchildren, including, Eric (Jessie) Bond and Alex Bond, and six great-grandchildren.

William Timothy Gentry

William Timothy Gentry, 53 formerly of Sheffield, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2013 in the Warren Manor.
Mr. Gentry was born Oct. 7, 1960 in Warren, a son of Walter William and Alice B. McCarter Gentry.
Mr. Gentry had lived in Maryland for many years prior to returning to the area and had worked in the construction industry.
He was a member of the Sheffield United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a sister, Kathleen A. Carley, Ludlow; a brother, Daniel F. Gentry, Warren; a niece, a nephew and several great nieces and nephews along with a dear friend and caregiver, Dawn.
