Viola M. Swedenhjelm, 73, of 33 Tionesta Ave., Kane, died Wednesday afternoon, May 8, 2013,Â in theÂ Kane Community Hospital. Arrangements, under the care of Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc., are incomplete and will be announced.

Mary Rose Maletto, age 96, 203 East Ave., Johnsonburg, died Sunday evening, May 5, 2013, at The Lutheran Home at Kane.
She was born March 26, 1916, in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Pasquale Nocito and Mariannina Perrone Nocito Condina.
On June 17, 1939, in Holy Rosary Church, she married Alfred J. Maletto Jr. who preceded her in death on June 7, 2010.
Kenneth O'NeilÂ Hunt, 80, of Route 321 N, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013 at his residence.
Born June 11, 1932, in Kane, he was a son of the late Edgar and Violet Ohlson Hunt.
Mr. Hunt was a career serviceman, serving in the U.S. Army where he did tours of duty in both Korea and Vietnam. After his honorable discharge, he worked for Stackpole for several years.Â He had been a member of the Kane VFW #1132.
Shirley Mae Bradybaugh Chittester, 83, of 1152 Lime Rd., Townsend, Ga. passed away on April 25, 2013.
She was born in Kane on Aug. 1, 1929, daughter of the late Harry and Pearl (Quick) Bradybaugh. In February of 1950 she married Donald E. Chittester who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Chittester had worked at the Shirt Factory and Houston Electronics and was the manager of the Arlington Hotel in Kane.
Doris E. Swanson, 89, formerly of the JoJo Road, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at the Lutheran Home at Kane where she resided.
Born February 10, 1924, at Lantz Corners, she was a daughter of Martin and Mary Gustafson Wahlberg.Â On March 6, 1947, in Kane, she married Eugene L. Swanson who preceded her in death.
A graduate of the Kane High School class of 1941, Mrs. Swanson worked for the Selective Services (Draft Board) during World War II.Â She also worked as a bookkeeper for the former Bentz Furniture for 25 years and had later been employed at the formerÂ Kane True Value.
David E. Fox, 70, of 42 Water Street in Ludlow, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the Hospice of Citrus County, Lecanto, Fla.
Born April 9, 1943 in Red Springs, W.Va., he was the son of David and Delpha Hughart Fox. On November 23, 1963 in Alexandria, Va., he married Linda VanSteenberg, who survives.
Mr. Fox worked in corrosion protection for National Fuel Gas for thirty-four years, retiring in 1999.
He was a member of Kane Lodge #566 F&AM, the Coudersport Consistory and the Kane Fish and Game Club.
Brendan J. "B.J." Crimmins, 67, of 2 Greeves St., Kane, passed away Monday, April 29, 2013 at Sena-Kean Manor in Smethport.
Born June 8, 1945, in New York City, N.Y.,Â he was a son ofÂ the late Joseph and Margaret Walsh Crimmins.
He was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church and the Kane VFW Lodge #1132.Â Throughout his life, he had worked at times as aÂ cookÂ andÂ in the security field in various places in Connecticut.
B.J. served in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy.
Janet M. Picarelli, 67, of 432 Tionesta Ave., Kane, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2013, in Painesville, Ohio, at the home of her daughter.
Born May 12, 1945, in Kane, she was a daughter of the late Francis "Red"Â and Marie Dann Chirillo.
Jan was a beloved mother and grandmother.Â For many years she was a childcare provider. She loved her Lord Jesus Christ and her church, the New Beginnings Assembly of God in East Kane.
Harry R. Anderson, 81, of 620 Maple St., passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013 at his residence.
Born Feb. 11, 1932, in Kane, he was a son ofÂ Fred V. and Ruth M. Engborg Anderson.Â On Sept. 18, 1953, in Kane, he married Martha Smith who survives.
Mr. Anderson was an electrician for Corning Glass in Bradford, retiring in 1990.Â He was a member of the Kane Elks #329, the V.F.W. Lodge #1132 and the Wilcox Sportsmen's Club.
Keith L. Hadfield, 50, of 113 Welsh St., Kane, passed away suddenly onÂ Sunday (April 14, 2013) at UPMC Hamot in Erie.
Born Nov. 8, 1962, in Kane, he was a son of Keith Hadfield and Marilyn Geer Hadfield.Â On Dec. 14, 1990, in Kane, he married Lanette Paul who survives.
Keith was employed at Graftech and prior to that had worked for the Local 603 and Osram-Sylvania.Â He had served in the U.S. Marines, attaining the rank of Corporal.
