David C. Bliss Jr.

David C. Bliss, Jr., 64, of 287 Spring St. in East Kane, died Thursday morning at the Kane Community Hospital.
Born Aug. 6, 1947 in Kane, he was the son of David and Thelma J. Neely Bliss. On Aug. 5, 1970 in Seoul, South Korea, he married Okye Young Kim, who died in 1992. Preceded in death by his stepfather, James L. Clark.
Mr. Bliss was a Sergeant 1st Class in the Army during the Vietnam War, giving 23 years of service.
He was a member of the VFW #1132 in Kane.

Douglas Eugene Dilley

Douglas Eugene Dilley, 32, of Adamsville, Ala., formerly of Kane, passed away Friday, May 18, 2012 at the Baptist Medical Center.
He was born July 30, 1979, and was an electrician, employed by M&A Electric.
Visitation was held Sunday at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home in Dora, Ala.

Dale Alan Ostrander

Dale Alan Ostrander, 52, of 129 Lincoln St., Kane, died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at UPMC Hamot Medical Center in Erie as the result of an accident outside the Kane Community Hospital.
He was born on July 15, 1959 in Bradford, son of the late Clendon and Evelyn Spegnardo Ostrander.
He married Kristine E. Bowley on Oct. 7, 1994, she survives.

Margaret C. Severance

Margaret C. Severance, 91, of 101 N. Mill St., Ridgway died Sunday, May 13, 2012, at Pinecrest Manor.
She was born Nov. 28, 1920, in Sargent, the daughter of Philip and Christina Amicone Scutella.
She married Guy J. Severance, who predeceased her on July 13, 1992.
Mrs. Severance was a member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church. She had been employed at Elk County General Hospital, retiring in 1985, after 35 years of service.

Lawrence R. "Larry" Chapman

Lawrence R. "Larry" Chapman, 70, a resident of Sena Kean Manor in Smethport, formerly of Kane and Bradford, died early Monday morning, May 14, 2012 at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Born Sept. 10, 1941 in Kane, he was the son of Luzerne L. and Ruth Lucinda Rymer Chapman.
Larry had worked at Futures Rehabilitation in Bradford for several years.
He is survived by a brother, James C. Chapman of Warren.
Friends may attend a graveside service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Kane with the rev. Leonard Eastman, pastor of the Kane Revival Center, officiating.

James Stephen Sennett

James Stephen Sennett, 89, of Seven Lakes, N.C. passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
Jim was born in St. Marys, son of Clifford J. and Catherine F. Sennett. Following graduation from Penn State University, he was employed as Sales Manager for Stackpole Inc. He was an avid golfer, friend to all, a man of integrity and always a gentleman. He was a devoted husband as well as a loving father.
During World War II he served in the Army Aircorp with the 319th Bombardier Squadron and was involved in combat duty in the Mediterranean Theatre.

Rosella F. "Rosie" Marconi

Rosella F. "Rosie" Marconi, 83, formerly of Hemlock Avenue, Kane, died early Saturday evening, May 12, 2012 at The Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born Jan. 28, 1929 in Kane, she was the daughter of Leonard and Mary Loretta "Laura" Dalton Fiscus. On May 27, 1950 in Kane, she married James J. Marconi, who survives.
After graduating from Kane Area High School in 1946, Rosie owned and operated the Mary Rose Beauty Shop in Kane. Later, she worked at Houston Electronics, then for Stackpole, both in Kane, where she was a packer and a union steward.

Phillip J. Imbrogno

Phillip J. Imbrogno, 60, of 120 Dawson St., passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012, at the Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born May 18, 1951, in Kane, he was the son of Joseph and Frances "Dolly" Cappello Imbrogno. On May 23, 1976, at St. Callistus Catholic Church, he married Shawna Danielson who survives.

Harold C. Weaver

Harold C. Weaver, age 86, of Fairview, passed away on May 7, 2012, at Pleasant Ridge Manor West. 
He was born in Williamsport on May 13, 1925, the son of the late Charles and Laura Barner Weaver.
Harold was proud to have served in the United States Navy during World War II as a Third Class Signalman. On D-Day he was on LCI, #499 transporting troops to Sword Beach. He received the American and European Theatre Awards, the Medal of the Jubilee of Liberty and good conduct awards.

Fred A. Marconi

Fred A. Marconi, 92, of 2904 N.W. 61st Ave., Margate, Fla., formerly of Kane, passed away Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Cedars Sinai Hospital, in Los Angeles.
Born Jan. 6, 1920, in Cuba, N.Y., he was a son of the late and Enrico "Henry" and Anita (Inamorita) Marconi.
On Sept. 18, 1941, in St. Callistus Roman Catholic Church, he married Hazel B. (Woods) Marconi, who survives.
He was a 1938 graduate of James City High School.
On Oct. 20, 1942 he enlisted in the United States Army and served during WWII; he was honorably discharged on Sept. 29, 1943.
