Dorothy C. â€śDottieâ€ť Bryington, 48, of Walnut Street, St. Marys, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014 in Clearfield.
She was born March 9, 1966 in Kane, daughter of Donald Bedford of Kane and Martha â€śSisâ€ť (Morgan) Bedford of Wilcox.
She was a graduate of Johnsonburg High School. She worked as a cook for local restaurants.
She was a member of the Wilcox Presbyterian Church, Wilcox Sportsmanâ€™s and the American Legion of Wilcox and Johnsonburg.
She lived in Wilcox most of her life until the past few years in Johnsonburg and St. Marys.
William L. "Bill" Reinard, 80, of 112 Fraley St., Kane, died late Thursday evening, Dec. 25, 2014 at his residence.
Born June 9, 1934 in Kane, he was the son of Walter and Leona Reisinger Reinard. On June 11, 1994, he married Joyce L. Larson Bush, who survives.
Bill served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, dischargedÂ at theÂ rank ofÂ corporal. He worked for the former Market Basket in Kane, then co-owned and operated the former Reavley Hotel in Kane along with his mother.
Charles "Huxie" W. Nearing, 77, of Burning Well Road, Wilcox, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Born Aug. 5, 1937, in Wilcox, he was a son of the late Linus and Margaret Paulina Nearing.
"Huxie" served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Veterans' Memorial Club in Mt. Jewett and the Wilcox Sportsman's Club.
Prior to retirement, he was employed as the dog catcher for Elk County.
Anna Jean Peterson, 71, of 908 Welsh St., Kane, died unexpectedly at her home Monday, Dec. 22, 2014.
Born May 4, 1943 in Kane, she was the daughter of Samuel and Dessa Sewell Mays. On April 25, 1969 in Johnsonburg, she married Edward D. "Eddie Pete" Peterson, who died June 12, 2013.
Anna grew up in Westline and was a waitress at the former Colonial Inn near Kane for many years, then worked in the dietary department of the Kane Community Hospital for over 30 years.Â
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kane, and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Anna Jean Peterson, 71, of 908 Welsh St., Kane, died unexpectedly Monday morning, Dec. 22, 2014 at her home. Arrangements, in the care of the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc., are incomplete and will be announced in tomorrow's edition.
Charles â€śHuxieâ€ť W. Nearing, 77, of Burning Well Road, Wilcox, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

Carl R. Westerburg Sr., 58, of Conneaut, Ohio, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, Dec. 16, 2014 at his residence.
He was born June 26, 1956 in Erie, son of the late Richard F. and Lillian K. (Hultman) Westerburg.
Carl was employed as maintenance and groundskeeper at Evergreen Lake Park for the past 12 years and had previously worked at Zimmers Service Center in West Springfield, and drove truck for Lukjan Metal Products for 17 years.
Lucy E. Titus, 85, of 22 Totten Ln., Bradford, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014 while in the company of family members at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Born June 7, 1929 in Rixford, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Gladys (Dufton) Nelson. She graduated from Otto High School in 1946.
On Sept. 4, 1948 in Olean, N.Y., she married Robert C. Titus, who died April 14, 2008.
Lucy was a homemaker. She was previously employed at Olsonâ€™s Department Store, Levi's and Gray's Drug Store. She enjoyed square dancing, painting, gardening, and raising pigs, chickens, and cows.
Christopher James McCormack, 40, of East End Avenue, Regent Square, Pittsburgh, and formerly of Mt. Jewett, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014 at the Allegheny General Hospital Transplant Unit in Pittsburgh.
Born April 29, 1974, in Kane, he was a son of Jim and Kittie Johnston McCormack. On July 27, 2002, in Key West, Fla., he married Miriam Kleman McCormack who survives.
D. Neal Meckley, 87, formerly of 121 Oak St., Kane, died Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 10, 2014 at The Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born Dec. 22, 1926 in Lamont, he was the son of Orvis S. and Mabel A. Asp Meckley. On Aug. 26, 1950 in Kane, he married Joann Jerman, who died Aug. 28 of this year.
Mr. Meckley served in the U.S. Army during WWII, discharged at the rank of sergeant.
He owned and operated Meckley's Feed Store in Kane, then was a supervisor at Houston Electronics in Kane until his retirement in 1986.
