George E. Petrisek, 75, of Genesee, formerly of Port Allegany, died unexpectedly at home on Aug. 5, 2011.Â A celebration of George's life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011 in the VFW Hall, 4743 Route 155, Port Allegany. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the Star Hose Fire Company, 65 W. Maple St., Port Allegany.Â MemorialsÂ may be made to theÂ S. W. Doris J. Williams, 80, a resident of Golden Living-Kinzua, Warren, died there Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011 after an extended illness.
She was born March 31, 1931 in Wellsville, N.Y. to the late Walter P. and Ruth Carr Hand. She has resided in Kane for the past 10 years. Doris loved to cook and bake. She enjoyed country music, NASCAR and having friends and family visit her.
Helen Irene Leary, 74, of Petersburg, passed away on Aug. 24, 2011.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Fedak Punk, and also preceded in death by three brothers, William, Leo, and Johnny Punk; and four sisters, Ginka Punk, Mary Vannatter, Aggie Johnson, and Millie Vanderneck.
David F. Ferry, 91, formerly of 104 Janeway St., Kane, died Thursday afternoon, Aug. 25, 2011 at The Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born Feb. 18, 1920 in Gilfoyle, Forest County, he was the son of John and Clara Greeley Ferry. On Sept. 10, 1942 in Jamestown, N.Y., he married Fern I. Anderson, who died in 1996.
Mr. Ferry served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the 112th Infantry as a rifleman and cook, and received the Purple Heart for wounds received in The Battle of the Bulge, plus several other medals.
David F. Ferry, 91, formerly of 104 Janeway St., Kane, died Thursday afternoon at The Lutheran Home at Kane.Â Arrangements, entrusted toÂ the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc., are incomplete and will be announced.

Emily Pearl Traub, 88, formerly of Pleasant Drive, Warren, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011 at the Warren Manor.Â
Bryan Timothy Hannon, 21, of 646 South Kendall Ave., passed away Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born March 28, 1990, in Bradford, he was a son of Robert J. and Tammie (Hedlund) Hannon.
Ruth B. Ross, 100, formerly of Burning Well Road, Kane, died Sunday evening, Aug. 21, 2011 at Sena Kean Manor in Smethport.
Born Sept. 18, 1910 in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of Thomas and SarahÂ McClure Buchanan.Â In November of 1942, she married Howard Ross, who died in 1966.
A homemaker, Mrs. RossÂ was aÂ member ofÂ the Mt. Jewett United Methodist Church, where she played piano for many years.Â She also belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star in Mt. Jewett and the Order of the Amaranth.
Victor L. Lantz, 90, a resident of the Lutheran Home at Kane, and formerly of Mt. Jewett, died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011, at Kane Community Hospital.
Born Sept. 7, 1920, in Mt. Jewett, he was a son of the late Victor R. and Besse M. Watterson Lantz.Â He was married to Pearl M. Barbour who survives.
Mr. Lantz served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
He was a member of St. Margaretâ€™s Episcopal Church in Mt. Jewett and belonged to the Cleveland Johnson Post 574 American Legion and the Mt. Jewett Rotary.
Marian E. Hultman, 90, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home for the past two years, and formerly of Kane, died Monday, Aug. 15, 2011 at Elk Regional Health Center.
Born Nov. 16, 1920, in Coudersport, she was a daughter of Henry Leon and Mina Dexter Lunn.Â On April 29, 1938, in Kane, she married Bernard Hultman who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Hultman owned and operated the former Arcade Restaurant in Kane with her husband, Bernie.Â She was a past member of the Eastern Star and the Order of the Amaranth.
