Janet R. Brush, 82, of 529 Haines St., died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010, at Kane Community Hospital.
Born Dec. 11, 1928, in Kane, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Helen Bloomquist Brush.Â On Aug. 14, 1950, in Kane, she married Willard Brush who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Brush was a member of the First Baptist Church where she played the organ for many years.
Raymond R. â€śRayâ€ť Ciprich, 81, a residentÂ of the Golden Living Center on Water Street in Warren for the past three years died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at his residence.
Born Dec. 16, 1929, in Ludlow, he was a son of the late Peter and Verna Baronak Ciprich.
He served in the U.S. Army for two years and was stationed for a time in Korea and Japan.
He worked his entire life at the National Forge in Irvine, retiring in 1984 to take care of his parents who were in ill health.
Ray took great pleasure in doing yard work and taking care of his property in Ludlow.
Harold J. Traub, 86, of Pleasant Drive, Warren, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010 at Warren Manor.
Mr. Traub was born July 21, 1924, in Warren, the son of the late Conrad and Mildred Swanson Traub Sr. Harold was employed at the National Forge Company for over 35 years and had also worked as a baker at Anderson's Bakery.Â He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, cross country skiing club, hiking club, and the Super Seniors League at Cable Hollow Golf Course.
He is survived by a wife, Emily Pearl Latshaw Traub and several nieces and nephews.Â
Kathleen â€śKathyâ€ť Feikls, 50, of 28 East Main St., Ludlow, passed away Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at Kane Community Hospital.
Born June 12, 1960, in Centralia, Ill., she was a daughter of Hugh A. and Dolores Murphy Rich Jr. On Nov. 28, 1998, at St. Callistus Church, she married Henry â€śHankâ€ť Feikls Jr. who survives.
Kathy was a loving, caring, compassionate and kind person who loved her family and friends and organized all the family parties, get togethers and travel plans.
Shirley Harrington-Tuhey, age 80, of Scottsdale, Ariz. and previously of St. Charles, Geneva and West Chicago; loving mother of Timothy (Karen) Harrington, Warren (Carol) Harrington, Chris (John) Suppes; cherished grandmother of Lindsey Harrington (Mike Powers), Stacia (Eric) Sanny, Jennifer and Carrie Harrington; dear great grandmother of Carter and Elise Sanny and Hugh Powers; caring stepmother of Deborah (Peter) Meyer, Bob Tuhey and step grandmother of Jakob and Callahan Meyer, Jack and Max Tuhey, Shannon (Jason) Hayes; died recently.
Bethel Whipple, 83, of Jefferson Street, Warren, and formerly of Chapman Dam Road, passed away on Monday, Dec. 13, 2010 at her residence.
Mrs. Whipple was born Aug. 22, 1927, in Warren, the daughter of the late Carl and Belle Bly Larson. Bethel was a graduate of Warren High School and enjoyed her family, fishing, and camping.
The rev. Richard C. "Dick" Nelson, 82, loving husband, father, grandfather and faithful servant, formerly of 110 Wetmore Ave., Kane, went home to be with his Lord Saturday afternoon, Dec. 11, 2010 at The Lutheran Home at Kane after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Born Aug. 21, 1928 in Johnsonburg, he was the eldest son of Roy and Genevieve Olson Nelson.Â On Sept. 20, 1980 in Kane, he married the former Phyllis E. Eckborg, who survives.
Helen I. Micheau, 103, formerly of 416 Welsh St., died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, at the Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born May 27, 1907, In Knightstown, Ind., she was a daughter of Clair and Edna Amsler Shreffler.Â She was married to Lewis Micheau who preceded her in death.
Helen I. Micheau, 103, died Tuesday afternoon at the Lutheran Home at Kane.Â Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Cummings Funeral Home.
Frederick Howard Willman, age 79, passed away on Friday, Dec. 3, 2010 in San Antonio, Texas.Â Frederick was born on Nov. 4, 2010 in Mt. Jewett to Howard and Gertrude Willman. He graduated in 1949 from Kane High School and then in 1952 he graduated from Grove City College in Grove City. Frederick was in management for Gulf Oil Corporation for 33 years and was a Comptroller for St. Lukeâ€™s Hospital in Houston, Texas for four years. Upon retirement, he served as a Volunteer for Venice Hospital in Venice, Florida and for the United Way.
