Norman S. Boschert, 86, of 104 Whiterock Ave., died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, at Kane Community Hospital.
Born June 21, 1925, in Dagus Mines, he was the son of Florence Weidow Mandilas.Â On Oct. 31, 1953, in Johnsonburg, he married June E. Bryington who preceded him in death on Sept. 1, 2011.
Mr. Boschert was a veteran of World War II serving in the 6th Army in the Philippines with the Bushmasters and the Alamo Scouts.Â He was a recipient of the Bronze Star.
He had worked at Hanley Brick Company for many years and later for Affiliated Industries from which he retired.
John B. Hall, Sr., 66, of Knoxdale passed away Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011.
He is the son of the late Alice (Brady) and Lawrence Ignatius Hall. He was also preceded in death by his son, Michael Joseph Hall; brother Lawrence I. Hall, Jr.; and sisters Sara Criswell and Mary Kosmaczewski.
John is survived by his wife of 12 years, Patricia L. (Chubon) Hall of Harrisburg; son, John Brady Hall Jr.of Cheyenne, Wyo.; daughter Mary Grace Hall of Cheyenne, Wyo.; several nieces and nephews; and an aunt, Olive Hall of Maryland.

Travis James Wolfe, 24, of 8 Elm St., Bradford, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011, at his residence.
Born Nov. 4, 1986, in Kane, he was a son of Larry and Donna Allen Wolfe.
Travis is survived, in addition to his parents, by a sister, Lori (Ivan) McClain of James City; three brothers, Robert Wolfe of El Cajon, Calif., David Wolfe and Luke Wolfe, both of Kane; and his maternal grandmother, Nancy Hulben of Smethport.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Betty Jane Wolfe.
Rose Marie Lundeen, 94, formerly of 339 Haines St., died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at the Lutheran Home at Kane.
She was born in north Kane on Dec. 10, 1916, the oldest daughter of Nicholas and Barbara Balaban Novosel. On Sept. 20, 1947, she married DeVere Lundeen who preceded her in death in October of 2002.
Alice B. Jones, 90, of 2 Delaware Ave., James City, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011 at her residence.
Born Jan. 17, 1921 in Kittanning, she was the daughter of Albert A. and Mary J. Moore Bouch.Â On Nov. 9, 1940 in Winchester, Va., she married Carroll E. "Birch" Burton, who died in 1989.Â On June 21, 1995, she married Lawrence H. "Jonesy" Jones, who died in 2002.
Mrs. Jones had been a Medical Lab Technician at the Kane Community Hospital for many years, then later at the Ridgway Hospital.
Frank A. Moore Sr., 88, of 36 Narrow Ln., died Monday, Sept. 26, 2011, at Kane Community Hospital following a short illness.
Born Aug. 9, 1923, in Sheffield, he was a son of John and Anna Streick Moore. On Feb. 9, 1946, at St. Callistus Church in Kane, he married Elizabeth Koza who preceded him in death.
Mr. Moore was employed at Dresser Manufacturing in Bradford until his retirement in 1984. He belonged to the VFW Post 1132 in Kane.
Frederick R. Anderson, 59, of 192 Saw Pit Hill Rd., Woodbury, Conn., passed away Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011 at Waterbury Hospital.
Born Oct. 26, 1951, in Kane, he was the son of Frederick V. and Lenore âConnieâ Hadley Anderson.Â
On Feb. 5, 1977, in Jamestown, N.Y., he married Karen Fulton who survives.
Mr. Anderson was a manager of information systems for the Barden Corporation in Danbury, Conn. He was a member of the Philadelphia Church of God, the Kane V.F.W. and the IOV Lodge of the Vikings. He also enjoyed hunting and scuba diving.
James L. Threehouse of 901 Washington St., formerly of 318 Tompkins St., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving and devoted family, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Mr. Threehouse was born on Dec. 12, 1944 in Olean, N.Y.,a son of John G. & Francis Parret Threehouse. On Oct. 4, 1969 in St. Stephanâs Episcopal Church, he married Diane Pepin, who survives.
Elizabeth "Betty" Johnson, 82, a resident of The Lutheran Home at Kane, formerly of Lamont, died Monday afternoon, Sept. 19, 2011 at the Kane Community Hospital.
Born Feb. 27, 1929 in Lamont, she was the daughter of Anton and Susie Kozik Weritz.Â On June 18, 1946 in Kane, she married Charles Everett Johnson, who died in 1991.
Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church in Kane.
