Helen I. Micheau, 103, formerly of 416 Welsh St., died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, at the Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born May 27, 1907, In Knightstown, Ind., she was a daughter of Clair and Edna Amsler Shreffler. She was married to Lewis Micheau who preceded her in death.

Helen I. Micheau, 103, died Tuesday afternoon at the Lutheran Home at Kane. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Cummings Funeral Home.

Frederick Howard Willman

December 7, 2010

Frederick Howard Willman, age 79, passed away on Friday, Dec. 3, 2010 in San Antonio, Texas. Frederick was born on Nov. 4, 2010 in Mt. Jewett to Howard and Gertrude Willman. He graduated in 1949 from Kane High School and then in 1952 he graduated from Grove City College in Grove City. Frederick was in management for Gulf Oil Corporation for 33 years and was a Comptroller for St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston, Texas for four years. Upon retirement, he served as a Volunteer for Venice Hospital in Venice, Florida and for the United Way.

Carol J. Nelson

Carol J. Nelson, 60, of 381 South Settlement Rd., Kane, died Saturday afternoon, Dec. 4, 2010, at The Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born April 26, 1950 in Ridgway, she was the daughter of Carl and Rosemond Schilk Wilson. On Oct. 12, 1974, she married James P. Nelson, who survives.
Mrs. Nelson worked at Blair New Process in Irvine for several years, then later as a nurses aide at The Lutheran Home at Kane for 18 years.

Betty Jane Johnson

Betty Jane Johnson, 89, of Sena Kean Manor, Smethport, passed away peacefully Wednesday (Dec. 2, 2010) at her residence.
Born on April 6, 1921 in Crosby, she was a daughter of Harry J. and Ida M. Swanson Timmerman. She graduated from Smethport High School in 1939. On Dec. 14, 1940 Betty was married to Quinten C. Johnson in Smethport officiated by the Rev. Leonard D. Peale. The couple would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this month.

Timothy A. Brechtel

Timothy A. Brechtel, 63, of 217 Welsh St., Kane, died Friday morning, Dec. 3, 2010 at the Kane Community Hospital after being stricken at home.
Born Sept. 19, 1947 in Ridgway, he was the son of Arthur and Lucille Rezmerski Brechtel. On Feb. 8, 1975 in Kane, he married Sherry L. Stewart, who survives.
Mr. Brechtel worked in the lab at Stackpole Corp. in St. Marys for over 20 years.
He attended St. Callistus Catholic Church in Kane, and was a fireman for 47 years in Kane and Wilcox, having served as chief for the latter. He also belonged to the Central District Firemen.

Mrs. Doris C. Pastrick

Mrs. Doris C. Pastrick, 90, died at 12:10 a.m. on Nov. 30, 2010 at Warren General Hospital following an extended illness.
She was born May 6, 1920 in Sheffield to the late Elmer and Esther Lindgren Nelson.
On Sept. 27, 1941 in Sheffield, she married Joseph Pastrick Sr., who preceded her in death.

Barbara Ann Nelson

Barbara Ann Nelson, 44, of Providence Forge, Va., and formerly of Kane, passed away Tuesday (Nov. 30, 2010) at Mechanicsburg Hospital in Virginia.
Born July 11, 1966, in Kane, she was a daughter of Leonard and Louise Porter Nelson.
Miss Nelson attended Richmond Business School and was a bookkeeper at Adams Country Store. She also was an avid NASCAR fan.

Paul Joseph “Bogie” Biel

Paul Joseph “Bogie” Biel, 62, of Old Kane Rd., Wilcox, died unexpectedly on Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, during the course of one of his favorite hobbies.
He was born Dec. 13, 1947, in Ridgway, son Olga (Damier) Biel of Wilcox, and the late Vincent Biel.
On Oct. 14, 1972, he married Donna Zawatski, who survives.

Donna L. Wiler

Donna L. Wiler, 60, of 2 Chari Ln., Warren, passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, at Hamot Medical Center in Erie.
Donna was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, on Jan. 15, 1950, a daughter of the late Elizabeth C. (Thompson) and Frederick L. Kelley.
