Frank L. Bizzak, 89, of 6743 Highland Rd., Kane, died Monday morning, Feb. 21, 2011 at his residence.
Born June 21, 1921 in Kane, he was the son of John and Mary Cehovin Bizzak.Â On Feb. 10, 1969 in Bradford, he married the former Nancy E. Besecker, who died Oct. 11, 1994.
An Army Air Force Airman during WWII, Mr. Bizzak later co-owned and operated Bizzak Beer Distributor in KaneÂ for over 17 years, and then worked for the Carpenters Union, Pittsburgh, for over 17 years.Â He was also an EMT for the Kane Ambulance Service for several years.
Elizabeth A. â€śBettyâ€ť Morton, 78, formerly of 117 Welsh St., Kane, died Friday afternoon, Feb. 18, 2011 at the Erie County Home in Lancaster, N.Y.
Born Aug. 11, 1932 in Kane, she was the daughter of Harry â€śFatsâ€ť and Marjorie Kilmer Swedenhjelm. In 1952 she moved to Niagara Falls, N.Y. where she married Herbert Simmons, Jr., now her former husband, of Wyoming.
Mrs. Morton attended Bayar Statton College and worked for several judges offices. In 1990, she returned to Kane to care for her father in 1990.
Leatrice Elloise â€śMickieâ€ť Wright, 79, of Smethport, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, in St. Vincent Hospital, Erie.
She was born Sept.6, 1931 in Manorville, a daughter of Ray and Helen L. Cook Transue. On April 4, 1953, in the Kane United Methodist Church, she married Llewellyn â€śSargeâ€ť Wright, who survives.
Mrs. Wright was a graduate of Hazel Hurst High School. She was employed by KOA-Speer Electronics of Bradford for 33 years before retiring. She was devoted to her family.
Louis L. "Barney" Rollick, 88, of 821 W. Eschbach Rd., St. Marys, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2011 at Pinecrest Manor. He was born May 7, 1922 in Rathbun, son of the late Aloys (Lewis) and Mary Eskra Rollick.
On Aug. 26, 1950, in the St. Mary's Catholic Church, he married Ida M. Eckert, who preceded him in death on May 5, 2003.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1941. At Central Catholic, Mr. Rollick played on the basketball team.
Anthony Damien Anderson, born July 3, 1985 in Kane to Eugene J. Vito Jr. and Beth Snyder Anderson, recently died Jan. 29, 2011 in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Besides his parents, he is survived by five sisters, Amber L. McKinzie of Arkansas, Danielle Vito of Athens, Ga., and Reagan Vito, Selina Vito, and Catalina Vito, all of Kane; a grandmother, Cynthia Harlan of Kane; an uncle, Anthony Vito, of Orlando, Fla.; and many cousins and friends.

Margaret M. Moran, age 72, of 207 Madison Ave., Ridgway, died peacefully Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 8, 2011, at Elk Haven Nursing Home after a long illness of Rheumatoid Arthritis. She was born Aug. 24, 1938, in Punxsutawney, daughter of the late James B. and Gertrude O. (O'Conner) Quinlisk. She married John T. Moran on July 4, 1959, he survives. She had resided in Ridgway since 1967 and was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church, the IU9 Advisory Committee, the PTA, and the Eagles Club Auxiliary. She had been a homemaker.
Charles L. Buzard, 63, of 26 E. Main St., Mt. Jewett, died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011) at Kane Community Hospital.
Born July 26, 1947, in Corsica, he was a son of Art and Dorothy Fitzsimmons Buzard.Â On Sept. 30, 1967, in Mt. Jewett, he married Collene Peterson who survives.
Mr. Buzard was the owner of Buzardâ€™s Garage in Mt. Jewett where he worked with his son.Â He was a member of St. Josephâ€™s Catholic Church and also the Mt. Jewett Sportsmenâ€™s Club and the Mt. Jewett American Legion.Â He was an honorary member of the Marine Corp. League.
Kim A. Armstrong, 53, of 514 Bayard St., died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011) at Kane Community Hospital.
Born Oct. 25, 1957, in Ridgway, he was a son of Edward and Aileen Eidell Armstrong.Â On July 1, 1995, at Wildcat Park in Ludlow, he married Marion Woodford who survives.
Mr. Armstrong was a self-employed contractor.Â He belonged to the Eagles #307 and the V.F.W. Lodge #1132, both in Kane.
James L. Latshaw, 77, of 321 Smithfield Ave. in Kane, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 1, 2011 at his residence.
Born April 6, 1933 in Kane, he was the son of Samuel V. and Margurite T. Nolan Latshaw.Â
Mr. Latshaw was a lumber stacker at Zuzek Lumber in Kane for 22 years.
He is survived by a daughter, Theresa Duck and a son, Richard Latshaw, both of Kane; two stepdaughters, Kandi Jo Kribbs of Kane and Lynette Edgar of Ridgway; two sisters, Emily Traub of Warren and Shirley Moore of Kane; two brothers, Vernon Latshaw of Erie and Bruce Latshaw of Kane,Â and several grandchildren.
