BRADFORD – Any time a cross country team runs a race, it is unlikely that almost all runners will have their best race on the same day, however, this is just what the Wolves cross country teams did on Saturday at the Bradford Invitational.
The Kane girls golf team fell to 5-3 on the season as they were defeated by Bradford. Consistent rounds in the mid 50s weren't enough to beat the visiting Lady Owls. Bradford's Ashley Mackey too medalist honors with a round of 44. Kane was led by Kyla Hoag with a 53, followed closely by Ellie Tunall and Sarah Szymanski 54, Kelsey Carlson 55 and rounding out the final scoring spot was Megan Durante who shot a 56.
After a slow first half, the Kane Lady Wolves used a strong second half to defeat the St. Marys Lady Dutch 3-0 in a match played at St. Marys Area's soccer field.
Following the game, Kane coach Allie Saquin remarked that she was pleased with her team's second-half effort.
