This is part nine of my 2011 Alaskan wilderness photographic adventure. We have traveled from Fairbanks, through Denali National Park, down the Alaskan railroad to Anchorage, stopping briefly for an overnight stop to catch my breath, and then heading southeast towards the village of Seward.Â South of Anchorage we stopped in the village of Girdwood. This was to be our one luxury stop of our trip. Our stay for a day and a half would be at the beautiful Aleyska resort. With luxury rooms, indoor pool and access to the chairlifts, the stay was nice reprieve from the fast pace that we were used to.
On Sunday, Aug. 19, the 17 Annual KCH Charity Golf Scramble took place at Kane Country Club.Â Seventeen teams enjoyed a beautiful day of golf.
The Kane Wolvesâ€™ golf team improved to 3-1 on the season with a split on Thursday afternoon at Kane Country Club. The Wolves defeated Port Allegany 246-352 and dropped a decision to Ridgway by a score of 201-246.
Freshman Jamie Rook led the Wolves with a 43. Teammates Austin Woolcock and Trace Gordon both shot their career best rounds with scores of 47 and 49, respectively.

The Kane Wolvesâ€™ fall sports season got under way on Monday afternoon at the Kane Country Club, when the Lady Wolves hosted the Bradford Lady Owls.
The home team dropped the match to the perennially tough Bradford team, but Kane head coach Nathan Smith has reason for optimism.
Senior Kyla Hoag carded her career-best round of 37 on her home course to lead the Lady Wolves. Hoag was followed by junior Ellie Tunall, who shot a solid round of 51, according to coach Smith.

BRADFORD â€“Â The 2012 Big 30 Don Raabe Charities Classic All-Star Football Game was an offensive struggle for the Pennsylvania squad, who lost to New York 25-15 in the annual event on Saturday evening at Parkway Field in Bradford.
Pennsylvania's offense accounted for none of the team's points. Both touchdowns came on interceptions by the defense, and New York also aided their rivals by adding two points to their total with a safety in the third quarter.
