Kane’s seventh- and eighth-grade girls’ basketball teams both won in their home openers on Wednesday. The seventh-grade girls won in the first game of the afternoon, defeating the young Lady Wolverines by a score of 14-10, followed by the eighth-graders' 32-3 drubbing of Sheffield.
Coach Mary Espin’s seventh-grade squad evened their record at 1-1 with the win. Trinity Clark led Kane with six points, followed by Amber Carlson with four. Gina Marconi and Mackenzie Witherell chipped in two points each for the Lady Wolves.
