The Kane Wolves lost a 52-40 shootout to undefeated Brockway last Friday night at Paul R Miller Stadium. The Rovers took the opening kickoff and marched downfield for an early score. The Wolves offense answered back, but that set the tone for the night—with Brockway going ahead, the Wolves scoring to stay within striking distance. Unfortunately, the Wolves couldn’t keep up with the scoring pace and the Rovers sealed the victory with a touchdown in the final minutes.

Adventures of a wildlife photographer "Late summer blues"

September 23, 2012

For a wildlife photographer, the late summer is not too exciting. The wildlife sightings I enjoyed during the springtime are no longer with us. The fox have moved from their dens, bear cubs are quite larger than the little teddy bears  they were in the spring. The beautiful breeding colors of the spring birds are all but gone. It is a challenge for most nature photographers at this time of year to get that perfect shot. To make matters worse, the leaves will not change for almost a month, late September to early October.

Kane had little trouble in the first two games against the Ramettes before a hiccup in the third game sidetracked the visitors. The Lady Wolves regrouped quickly, however, to clinch the decisive fourth game for the win.

BRADFORD – In recent cross country action, the Kane Wolves competed at the Bradford Invitational and also at Brookville on Tuesday, besting many teams in the process.

At Bradford, the varsity girls would start the day with Kristin Boyer placing fifth overall with a time of 21:42 and Olivia Kumher running a time of 36:04.
