November 2nd
Pictured are members of the Kane Wolves football team breaking the banner before the first football game of the season, against Sheffield. Nine games later, the Wolves are 6-3 and in the District 9 Class AA playoffs. Kane will be either the second or third seed, but will play the Brookville Raiders regardless of seeding, at a place to be determined.
November 1st
FOXBURG – The Kane Lady Wolves lost to the A-C Valley Lady Falcons on Thursday night in the second round of the District 9 Class A playoffs.
October 31st
The Kane Lady Wolves had to wait an extra day to begin the District 9 Class A volleyball tournament but proved they haven't lost a step in a three-game sweep against Brockway.
October 28th
RIDGWAY – Members of the Kane Area High School girls' and boys' cross country teams put on a strong showing in the District 9 Class A girls' and boys' events at the PIAA District 9 Cross Country Championship Meet at the Francis S. Grandinetti Elementary School on Saturday, with four members of the Wolves' squad and two members of the Lady Wolves qualifying to advance to the state meet next weekend in Hershey.
October 26th
The Kane Wolves hosted the Coudersport Falcons on Senior Night Friday and sent the crowd home happy with a 21-0 win that helped the Wolves’ playoff picture.
October 25th
BRADFORD – The Kane Lady Wolves ended their regular season with a tough loss to Bradford 25-14, 25-16, 25-23.
October 24th
The Kane eighth grade girls defeated the Elk County Catholic Crusaders 34-23 in basketball action on Monday while the seventh grade team lost 28-17 in Kane.
October 23rd
The Kane Lady Wolves hosted the Johnsonburg Ramettes on Tuesday night in volleyball action at the Wolves Den. Kane defeated the visitors in three straight sets but that gives no indication of how close a match it was.
October 22nd
The Kane junior varsity football team ended their season on Monday night, losing to Elk County Catholic 37-15 at Paul R Miller Stadium.
October 19th
RIDGWAY – A late first half touchdown proved to be enough as Kane football won their third consecutive game with a 12-7 victory over Ridgway Friday night at Memorial Field in Ridgway.
