The Kane Wolvesâ€™ wrestling team hosted the Bradford Owls on Tuesday night but it was a short night for both teams as only four matches were decided on the mat. Kane won three of the four bouts wrestled, with all three coming via pin.
The Elk County Catholic Crusaders held the Kane Wolves to only 11 first half points in Mondayâ€™s game in the Wolvesâ€™ Den. The Wolves played a better second half with the two teams playing pretty evenly the rest of the way but the Crusaders left town with a 59-41 win.
The Elk County Catholic Lady Crusaders used a strong third quarter to outscore the Kane Lady Wolves by a 10-4 margin then played Kane even in the fourth quarter to hold on for a 38-36 victory.
The Kane Cheer Club went to Keystone on Saturday and came home in second place in small varsity and also won the Sportsmanship Award from the entire afternoon session. "It was good to finally get the beginning and end of our routine," said coach Chris Niklaus.

The Kane seventh grade boys basketball team had a setback against St. Marys Public by a score of 37-24. Getting into the score column for the Wolves were the following players: Wes Cleer 7, Reed Williams 5, Ange Costanzo 4, Ray Maze 3, JT Stewart 3, and Garret Walters with 2 points. James Flemming, Tyler Pacheco, and Joseph Stanko had timely rebounds and efficient defense.
The Kane Lady Wolves used a balanced scoring attack and some tenacious defense to earn a 57-41 win over Brookville on Wednesday night in the Wolvesâ€™ Den.

Bizzak bowls for Crescent Beer in the Elks American League. He opened the night with a 198 game, rolled a 202 game in his second game of the night, and capped off the evening with the 300, to reach a 700 series on the nose.
The Kane Wolves wrestling team dug themselves a little bit of a hole to start out Tuesday nightâ€™s match in the Wolvesâ€™ Den against the Coudersport Falcons. The visitors jumped out to an early 19-0 lead before a couple of Kane forfeits and a pin by Nate Moore got the home team back on track and propelled them to a 41-31 win over the team from Potter County.
