April 21st
The Kane girls’ track and field team had a fantastic day despite the lousy conditions on Saturday to win the title of the Kane Invitational. The Lady Wolves finished the day with 114 points, outdistancing Johnsonburg, who had 77.5 points, and Brookville, who took third with 72.
The Kane boys’ track and field team put together a great team effort to win Saturday’s Kane Invitational team title with 81 points. Iroquois came in second with 67, followed by Port Allegany with 64.
April 18th
Anyone out there who follows my columns might think that I’m a retired guy with not a care in the world;  traveling to exotic locations, spending countless hours in the forests, tracking down wildlife and birdlife in the pursuit of that perfect photograph. It does sound like that even to me, but the truth is I still work, and my photography is just a very enjoyable hobby. My travels are usually small vacations where I always carry a camera, collecting memories for future sharing with anyone who will listen.
April 17th
Kane girls’ track and field coach Jim Sirianni left five of his key athletes behind in Kane while the rest of the team traveled to the county seat to take on the Hubbers on Tuesday. The Lady Wolves came up on the short end of the team score but a number of Kane track ladies came through with stellar performances.
A good team effort led the Kane boys’ track and field team to a win over the Hubbers in Smethport on Tuesday. Chris Udovich and Bailey Colson were quadruple winners for the Wolves, while Jonah Smith tripled. Nate Moore, Jon Gelsick and Chris Cummings were each double winners for Kane and came through with some solid performances.
April 15th
PORT ALLEGANY – The Kane Lady Wolves upped their record to 3-0 as they traveled to Port Allegany and defeated the Gators 7-5. Kyla Hoag got her third win, giving up nine hits, striking out four, and walking one. The Wolves scored their runs on five hits and nine walks.
April 10th
The Kane High School Trap team narrowly lost to Ridgway/Johnsonburg in their first home match of the year. The visitors defeated Kane by a score of 130-122.
April 9th
JOHNSONBURG – The Lady Wolves' bats exploded in two prolific innings as the offense put up runs in bunches for a 17-6 win Tuesday afternoon against the Ramettes.
April 8th
These three Kane basketball players were recently named to the AML All-Star team for their performances the past season.
April 7th
ALTOONA – The Kane boys’ track team placed in six of 18 events and had 10 District IX qualifying performances in this huge invitational that combines both AA and AAA classifications of schools from Western Pennsylvania.
