I have written many times about my search for the elusive and rare visitor from the far north, the snowy owl. As far as birds of prey are concerned, the snowy owl is at the top of my “want to see’ list. In late December of 2012 and early January of 2013, reports of snowy owl sightings started to show up. I probably had waited too long, and the owl or owls, was gone.
