January 15th, 2013
The Kane Wolves wrestling team dug themselves a little bit of a hole to start out Tuesday night’s match in the Wolves’ Den against the Coudersport Falcons. The visitors jumped out to an early 19-0 lead before a couple of Kane forfeits and a pin by Nate Moore got the home team back on track and propelled them to a 41-31 win over the team from Potter County.
January 14th
BRADFORD – The Bradford Lady Owls defeated the Kane Lady Wolves on Monday night in a battle of 10-1 squads.
The Lady Wolves led the contest at the half by a score of 22-21 but the Lady Owls put together a solid second half on their home court.
January 11th
Coming into Friday night's game, the focus was on Kane senior Kaila Jamerson surpassing the 1,000 point mark for her career.
Both the JO and novice wrestlers hosted the tournament this past weekend which resulted in the JO wrestlers grabbing the first place team trophy. There were teams from Cameron County, Clarion, Salamanca, Olean, as well as Canisteo to name a few. A total of 300 wrestlers competed on Saturday. This coming Sunday the JO Wrestlers will be hosting a Dual Team Tournament at the Kane High Gym. The novice team will be traveling to Salamanca.
The Kane Wolves played with the Ridgway Elkers for a quarter but the Elkers outscored the Wolves 16-5 in the second quarter and cruised to the 62-35 victory in the Wolves’ Den on Friday night.
January 8th
The Kane Lady Wolves outlasted the DuBois Central Catholic Lady Cardinals on Tuesday night in the Wolves’ Den.
January 6th
2012 was a good year for photography, although the year started out slow.
Photography subjects were few and far between, and I was beginning to think maybe this might be an off year for nature photography.
January 4th
The Kane Lady Wolves completely dominated the second half Friday in a convincing 52-37 girls basketball home win over rival Johnsonburg.Â
JOHNSONBURG – Talk about scoring points in bunches.
On a night where everything seemed to be going in, the Johnsonburg Rams (8-1) stretched their winning streak to four games.
January 2nd
Senior Kaila Jamerson’s 23 points helped to propel Kane to a big lead early against the Curwensville Golden Tide on Wednesday night in the Wolves’ Den. Jamerson had eight points in the first three and a half minutes of the game as the Lady Wolves dominated the action in the paint.
