It wasnâ€™t pretty but Kaneâ€™s win over Coudersport on Friday will look beautiful in the record books as the 2013 Wolves became only the third team in Kane football history to finish the regular season undefeated.
The Kane Wolves football team tries to put the finishing touches on an undefeated regular season tonight when they travel to CARP Stadium to take on the 4-4 Coudersport Falcons.
The Falcons narrowly lost to Curwensville in their season opener, then went on to win their next three contests. Since that time, Coudersport has gone 1-3, losing to Sheffield, Smethport and Otto-Eldred.
Kane volleyball coach Judy Kessler is looking at Thursday nightâ€™s match with Bradford kind of like the "glass is half full."
The Lady Owls finished their second consecutive undefeated regular season with a three-set win over the Lady Wolves in the Wolves Den.
Saturday's Steve Jerman Memorial 5K Race was the third leg of the Memorial Race Series Triple Crown Championship.
JOHNSONBURG â€“ The Kane Lady Wolves improved to 9-7 on the season with a 3-0 (25-11, 25-22, 25-23) win Tuesday night over Johnsonburg.
"I was really pleased with how we played," said Kane head coach Judy Kessler. "I knew Johnsonburg wasn't going to roll over and just lay down, there was no way they were going to do that.
This past Saturday, the Kane High School Marching Band traveled to Indiana University of Pennsylvania to compete in the Tournament of Bands Chapter 11 Championship Competition.
The 15th annual Steve Jerman Memorial 5K Run & 2 Mile Walk was held on Saturday, Oct. 19, in Kane.
A total of 127 participants registered for the event, including 68 runners and 59 walkers. Temperatures in the mid 50s produced excellent running conditions.
Kane football entered Friday's game undefeated and left the same way.
The Wolves also left with the AML South Division crown.
Kane clinched a spot in the AML championship game with a 27-18 win over Ridgway Friday night at Paul R. Miller Stadium to move to 8-0 on the season.
The Kane Wolves are now 7-0 on the season but still need a win over Ridgway this evening to clinch the AML South Title. The Wolves will be celebrating Senior Recognition prior to the game, so look for Kane coach Todd Silfies' squad to be ready to play tonight.
The Kane Wolves won the first two sets of Thursday nightâ€™s match with Ridgway rather easily, then had to struggle to finish out the match in the third set in the Wolvesâ€™ Den. The Lady Wolves avenged their four-set loss to the Lady Elkers on their home court earlier in the season with a three-game sweep with scores of 25-16, 25-15 and 28-26.
