BRADFORD â€“ The Kane Lady Wolves ended their regular season with a tough loss to Bradford 25-14, 25-16, 25-23.
The Kane eighth grade girls defeated the Elk County Catholic Crusaders 34-23 in basketball action on Monday while the seventh grade team lost 28-17 in Kane.
The Kane Lady Wolves hosted the Johnsonburg Ramettes on Tuesday night in volleyball action at the Wolves Den. Kane defeated the visitors in three straight sets but that gives no indication of how close a match it was.
The Kane junior varsity football team ended their season on Monday night, losing to Elk County Catholic 37-15 at Paul R Miller Stadium.
RIDGWAY â€“ A late first half touchdown proved to be enough as Kane football won their third consecutive game with a 12-7 victory over Ridgway Friday night at Memorial Field in Ridgway.
Fall is a great time of the year for photography with the changing of the leaves, the brisk air, and time for a trip down to elk country. I write about the Pennsylvania Elk quite often, mainly because I find them one of the better photo opportunities in the area. I just canâ€™t get enough of them. I know some residents of the Benezette area arenâ€™t too thrilled about the fall season. The Elk rut attracts countless sightseers, the traffic, the noise, and yes, those pesky wildlife photographers.
The Kane Wolves were firing on all cylinders last Friday night as they defeated the Johnsonburg Rams by a score of 41-0. The Wolves amassed 470 yards on offense while the defense pitched their first shutout of the season.
The Kane Lady Wolvesâ€™ soccer team played their final game of the season on Thursday, hosting the 15-2 Curwensville Golden Tide.
RIDGWAY â€“ Kane rallied from a 2-1 deficit to defeat the Ridgway Lady Elkers 3-2 on Thursday night at Ridgway Area High School.
Taylor Bucheit scored four goals in the Lady Wolvesâ€™ 5-4 victory over West Forest on Wednesday in Kane.
The junior got the home team on the scoreboard early when she took a pass from Dawn Saquin and knocked a shot by the Lady Firesâ€™ goalie a little more than one minute into the game to get the ball rolling for Kane.
