The Kane Wolves survived the first round of the District 9, Class AA playoffs with a thrilling 35-34 win over the Brookville Raiders at Paul R Miller Stadium on Friday night.
The 6-3 Kane Wolves will host the 6-4 Brookville Raiders on Friday night in a District 9 Class AA semifinal game.
The second-seeded Wolves got some help from Otto-Eldred, Sheffield and Ridgway, all of whom won games in week 10 and helped the idle Wolves earn some more Power Points to earn the right to play at home in the first round.
Most high school senior athletes dream of having a huge senior season, a year when all of their hard work pays off, and they help to propel their team to a winning campaign.

Kane will be either the second or third seed, but will play the Brookville Raiders regardless of seeding, at a place to be determined.
FOXBURG â€“ The Kane Lady Wolves lost to the A-C Valley Lady Falcons on Thursday night in the second round of the District 9 Class A playoffs.

RIDGWAY â€“Â Members of the Kane Area High School girls' and boys' cross country teams put on a strong showing in the District 9 Class A girls' and boys' events at the PIAA District 9 Cross Country Championship Meet at the Francis S. Grandinetti Elementary School on Saturday, with four members of the Wolves' squad and two members of the Lady Wolves qualifying to advance to the state meet next weekend in Hershey.
The Kane Wolves hosted the Coudersport Falcons on Senior Night Friday and sent the crowd home happy with a 21-0 win that helped the Wolvesâ€™ playoff picture.
BRADFORD â€“ The Kane Lady Wolves ended their regular season with a tough loss to Bradford 25-14, 25-16, 25-23.
The Kane eighth grade girls defeated the Elk County Catholic Crusaders 34-23 in basketball action on Monday while the seventh grade team lost 28-17 in Kane.
