HARRISBURG â€“ Aiden Hulings, an eighth-grader at Kane Middle School, won the Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling Championship for 11-and-12-year-olds in the 125-pound weight class this past weekend at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg.
Robert R. â€śHeitzieâ€ť Steudler, 83, of Water Street, Johnsonburg, died Friday, March 21, 2014 at the Lutheran Home of Kane.
He was born March 12, 1931 in Johnsonburg, son of the late William and Mabel (Anderson) Steudler.
On June 6, 1959, he married Joyce A. Kolinoski, and she survives.
He worked at the Johnsonburg Paper Mill for 36 years, retiring in 1992 and also worked for many local farms in his youth.

A large crowd jammed the 650-seat high school auditorium Thursday night for the first of four performances. There are shows tonight and Saturday night at 7 p.m. and a matinee at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Snow may still be on the ground, but plans already are being made for Summer School classes in Kane.
The elementary school Summer School will run in two sessions from June 23 to Aug. 1. The first session is from June 23 to July 3. The second session is from July 14 to Aug. 1.
Outside practices have been extremely limited this preseason for Kane coach Judy Kesslerâ€™s softball team. With Mother Nature not cooperating and the Flickerwood field still covered in snow a week before the scheduled home opener, the Lady Wolves have been practicing in the gym and in the Kane High School parking lot trying to get prepared for the season. Despite the lack of outdoor playing time, coach Kessler said the girls are still excited for practice every day.
The Kane Lady Wolves track and field team placed second at last yearâ€™s District 9 AA meet. While the team lost some very talented athletes to graduation, this yearâ€™s team has head coach Jim Sirianni anxiously awaiting the start of the season and hoping to equal or better last seasonâ€™s runner-up finish.
Kane boysâ€™ track coach Tom Cecchetti welcomes back 17 letter-winners from last yearâ€™s District 9 AA Championship squad. In addition to the letter-winners, the Wolvesâ€™ veteran coach has 30 more boys that reported for the first practice of the season.
