‘Laughing Owl Press’ ceremony

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Friday to mark the official opening of “Laughing Owl Press” at 27 Fraley St., Kane. Taking part in the ceremony are, left to right: Anne Albright, Kane office manager for State Sen. Joe Scarnati (R-Brockway); William “Yogi” Osmer, mayor of Kane; Nadine Holt, president of the Kane Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors; Andrea and Joe Lanich, owners of the printing business; and Erin Vassallo, executive director of the Kane Area Development Center, which includes the Chamber of Commerce. A grand-opening celebration will be held Sunday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Jamie Lingenfelter (left) and Hannah Ross (right) have been crowned as the Homecoming King and Queen at Kane Area High School. Both are seniors. Lingenfelter is the son of Donna and Phil Lingenfelter of Kane. Ross is the daughter of Megan Ingram and Erik Ross of Mt. Jewett. The king was selected Saturday night at the Homecoming dance at the high school. The queen was announced Friday night at halftime of the Homecoming football game.

New fire truck delivered

KVFD's new Rescue Truck No. 55 was ordered nearly a year ago and delivered Sunday morning to the fire hall.
