Kar Krazees Cruise-In

Lilly, Addie and Hannah Dase were among the spectators at Friday evening's Kar Krazees Cruise-In on Wetmore Avenue. The three Ludlow girls admired all the cars with their Mom and Dad, Adam and Katie Dase, one of the many events going on around Kane throughout the day.

Sgt. Jeffrey A. Palmer Scholarship

Matthew Cecchetti (center), a 2015 graduate of Kane Area High School, is the recipient of the Jeffrey A. Palmer Memorial Award. Presenters include Ashley Parik (left), who is Palmer's niece; and Tanner Morehead (right), son of Michelle Palmer. The 23rd award includes a $1,000 scholarship and plaque. Cecchetti's name also will be added to the Palmer award display near the entrance to the high school auditorium.

Steve Jerman Scholarship

State Police Corporal Ted Race (left) presents the Steve Jerman Memorial Scholarship to Matthew Cecchetti (right), a 2015 graduate of Kane Area High School. The award honors the Kane borough police officer who was shot and killed Feb. 20, 1999 in the line of duty. Jerman was a mentor for Race, who resides in Kane.

Chris McCormack Scholarship

Hannah Ross, a 2015 graduate of Kane Area High School, is the recipient of the first Chris McCormack Memorial Scholarship. She will receive $1,000 a year for four years as she attends Penn State University.
