Stringing beads activity

The Winter Fun Night in the multi-purpose room at the Kane Elementary School includes crafts such as the stringing of beads as well as face-painting. The group includes, left to right, seated: Macie Johnson, third grade; Mya Berry, second grade; Maggie Johnson, third grade; and Sam Lundeen, second grade; standing: Haylee Mague and Jandilee Smith, both seniors at Kane High School and members of the National Honor Society. Smith is secretary of the Honor Society, which sponsors the Winter Fun Night. Other activities at the Fun Night included Wii Bowling and Wii Dance.

Cookie decorating is one of the activities Wednesday evening at the third annual Winter Fun Night at the Kane Elementary School. The National Honor Society at Kane High School sponsors the event. Donating blood in Kane

Parker Brinkley (left) of Kane donates blood Tuesday at the Community Blood Bank visit at the Kane Community Center on Fraley Street. It is the first time Brinkley has donated blood. Karolyn Pierce (right) is a phlebotomist with the Community Blood Bank of Erie. The Community Blood Bank, which supplies blood to Kane Community Hospital, will hold its next blood drive in Kane on Tuesday, May 27 from noon to 5 p.m. at the community center.

Kindergarten, Here We Come!

Parents of children who will enter kindergarten in August gather for a meeting Tuesday in the multi-purpose room at the Kane Elementary School.
