Accelerated Reader

May 3, 2012

Kindergarten student Aaron Mishic achieved Accelerated Reader 100 Club status recently at the Kane Elementary School. Aaron excels at reading...and no wonder. His favorite part of the day in kindergarten is reading! At home, when not devouring the latest dinosaur book, Aaron enjoys playing LEGOS.  He is a student in teacher Lisa Lorenzo's class and is the son of Susan and Scott Mishic.

Kane Day School venturing outdoors

April 22, 2012

Three year old students in Mrs. Watts' class at the Kane Day School love checking the signs of spring. The class has been venturing outdoors once a week to check on the growth of plants, animal arrivals and other signs of spring. They were delighted to see how much the plants had grown in a week, and got excited with the beutiful singing of the birds. Their picture on the steps shows another great sign of spring--their change from heavy coats, mittens and boots too much cooler clothing. Mrs. Watts has announced that there are still openings for three year olds in her afternoon class.
