Audrey Perry named to all-star team

Audrey Perry, daughter of Steve and Joanne Perry and a junior on the Kane volleyball team, was named to the D9 AA/AAA all-star team and was elected its Player of the Year for her performance in the 2011 season. Audrey has been a varsity player since her 9th grade year when she became the first freshman on the varsity squad since Liz Johnson in 2000.  She is also the third Wolves volleyball players to be named as the top AA/AAA player of the district since 2000 (Missy Wahlberg in 2000 and Amelia Kepler in 2009).

Peter Sirianni and Corey McGuire were recently named to the Upper Allegheny Valley Soccer League All-Star Team for 2011. Both are seniors at Kane Area High School where they are true scholar-ahtletes. Peter and Corey are two year members of the National Honor Society and are active in school and their community. This is Peter's first year to be selected as an all-star while Corey has the distinction of being honored three years in a row.

Kane beats Ridgway in Alumni Game

Former high school football players from Ridgway and Kane met Saturday, Nov. 5 for an alumni football game in Ridgway. Kane defeated Ridgway, 20-0.

Stewart scores only touchdown

Cheerleaders give big boost to Tornadoes

Pictured are the Kane Tornadoes Varsity Cheerleaders just prior to boarding the bus for the trip to Bolivar, N.Y. last Sunday and as they cheered in front of the large Kane crowd at the Olean Youth Football Pony Championship won by the Tornadoes. The Varsity cheerleaders are Olivia Douglas, Lexi Novosel, Brittney Bradybaugh, Haley Eichenlaub, Chloe Starner, Sarah Cecchetti, Sierra Pontius, Krysalin Rhodes, Emily Kelly, Elise Johnson Marissa McKinney, Dessa Gentile Kendra Farnsworth and Kayla Lupole.

Tornadoes capture Championship
