Kyla Hoag is shown teeing off against Coudersport. She led the Kane Girls Golf Team to the win which moves their record to 1-1 early in the season. Kyla Hoag took home medalist honors with a score of 43. Ellie Tunall and Kelsey Carlson added good rounds of 52 and 53. First-year golfer Megan Durante added another solid round of 58. Freshman Sarah Szymanski rounded out the scoring with a 66, while freshman Emily Silvis shot a 72.

The Kane boys golf season got off to a rough start with a defeat at the hands of perennial powerhouse Bradford. Bradford senior Josh Stauffer took medalist honors with a score of 37. Ryan Greto had a solid round of 44 to lead Kane. He is shown above getting set to tee off.

Sports Awareness Day

The Kane Area All Sports Boosters is sponsoring this years 'Sports Awareness Day' on Sunday, Aug. 28 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Members of the Kane Wolves various sports teams will be canvassing the Kane/Mt. Jewett/Ludlow areas to deliver sports calendars, bracelets, and decals. Donations will be accepted; please be generous to support local athletic programs. After Shock

Team "After Shock" participated in the Gus Macker Basketball Tournament held in Olean, N.Y. the past weekend of August 19-21. The team, which was comprised of four Kane Middle School students. They placed third out of 14 teams in their age bracket. "After Shock" finished the tournament with five wins and two loses. The team consisted of Alaina Barner, Kiley Kinney, Ashley Jordan, and Camryn Cummings.

Kane Area High School head football coach Jason Barner was the head coach of the Pennsylvania squad in this year's Big 30 Don Raabe Charities Classic All Star Football Game, which was played Saturday evening at Parkway Field in Bradford. Barner is shown celebrating with his players after the team defeated New York 28-3.

Kane 7-8 Year Old All Stars

Kane 7 and 8 year old all star team. This team competed over the weekend in the St Mary's Baseball Tournament on July 23 and 24 playing three games with a record of 1-2. They will play in their final tournament on July 30 in Punxsy against four other teams.

3rd Annual Kane Boys Basketball Camp

Grades 7-8.
The 3rd Annual Kane Boys Basketball Camp was recently held at the Kane Area High School. There were 78 campers in grades 1-8 that participated in the camp this year that was under the direction of Middle School Boys Basketball Coach Matt Gasbarre.  During this camp, the players learned the basic fundamental skills of basketball from high school student volunteers that guided these future Kane Wolves through drills and basketball games.  Overall, these young campers had a fun week of learning about basketball and playing games with their fellow classmates.
