Kane varsity football head coach Jason Barner said he feels very comfortable with the years of experience he has in his coaching staff. Rick Fisher will be in charge of the defensive backs and co-defensive coordinator. Todd Silfies handles the wide receivers, linebackers and is also co-defensive coordinator. Mike London is heading up the running backs and is special teams coordinator. Jim Sirianni is the offensive and defensive line coach. Coach Barner will be the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

Paup sets for corner kick

Chanda Paup sets to get off a corner kick during the scrimmage with Punxsutawney Wednesday, Aug. 31. Paup figures to be one of the key players for the Lady Wolves Soccer Team. Both teams moved the ball up and down the field, but, some great goalkeeping by both teams kept the game in check. The girls open their season Tuesday, Sept. 6 at Smethport. Scheduled start time is 4 p.m.

These three look to be a big part of the Wolves offense for the upcoming season. The Kane High School Football Team will start their season Friday, Sept. 2 when they host the Otto-Eldred Terrors at Paul R. Miller Stadium. Start time will be 7 p.m.

Kyla Hoag is shown teeing off against Coudersport. She led the Kane Girls Golf Team to the win which moves their record to 1-1 early in the season. Kyla Hoag took home medalist honors with a score of 43. Ellie Tunall and Kelsey Carlson added good rounds of 52 and 53. First-year golfer Megan Durante added another solid round of 58. Freshman Sarah Szymanski rounded out the scoring with a 66, while freshman Emily Silvis shot a 72.

The Kane boys golf season got off to a rough start with a defeat at the hands of perennial powerhouse Bradford. Bradford senior Josh Stauffer took medalist honors with a score of 37. Ryan Greto had a solid round of 44 to lead Kane. He is shown above getting set to tee off.
