Roy Bohn of Milesburg works on a wooden duck carving during the sixth annual Art in the Wilds Juried Fine Arts Show held Saturday and Sunday at Evergreen Park in Kane. Bohn first learned to carve in the Boy Scouts carving neckerchief slides. This developed into a lifelong hobby that merged with duck hunting and a desire to preserve the bird and memories in wood.

The sixth annual Art in the Wilds Juried Fine Arts Show was held Saturday and Sunday at Evergreen Park. The show ran from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days as large crowds took advantage of the exceptional weather on Alumni Weekend.

Blackmore and her late husband, Dave organized the first show in 2007. She is the president of a 15-member volunteer board that meets year-round to plan the summer’s biggest tourist attraction in Kane

Judi Zelina of It's Judi's Place created the Vacation Bible School T-shirts, which were provided to the leaders and the children through the generosity of the Eagles Club, the VFW and various private donations. The four-day Bible School at eight participating Kane churches ended Thursday.
