Sneakers! Sneakers! Sneakers! What a great start to the Back to School Shoe Drive. Last year the community helped to provide new sneakers, socks and backpacks for more than 30 kids in the Kane Area School District. Let’s do it again plus some! Donations of new sneakers, socks and backpacks are needed for struggling or disadvantaged families with children in the Kane Area School District. Any and all sizes will be welcome. From little preschool feet to big high school feet. We want all school children to have a pair of new sneakers for the school year.

Last week we had a ton of fun with Fawn Miller creating crafty ladybugs and playing ladybug bingo. This Thursday we are going to be joined by Mr. Adam, a local beekeeper, at the Kane Elementary Library. Mr. Adam has been beekeeping for several years and has harvested the honey and wax from his bees to make candles, foot lotion, lip protectant, and how could we leave out ... the liquid honey you may eat at supper. He is very eager to tell and show us what he has learned about bees and how we can take care of them. So, join us from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
