Wolves lose heartbreaker to Golden Tide, 7-6

October 11, 2014

The Kane Wolves lost a hard-fought 7-6 game with Curwensville on Friday night in a battle of 5-1 teams. The Wolves had won their previous game on a last minute field goal against Brockway and appeared as though they might have some last minute magic again. It didn't happen, however, as the Tide got a turnover with just over three minutes left in the game and got a couple crucial first downs to run out the clock and preserve the victory on their home field.

Like the Wolves, the Tide started out their season 4-0 but stumbled in the opening week of AML South competition by losing 20-13 to Elk County Catholic.

The match was played in a steady, bone-chilling rain that intensified in the second half. But the heavier rain only seemed to pump up both teams.

Adventures of a Wildlife Photographer – "24"

October 7, 2014

By the time you read this fall will have begun. Today I noticed the leaves were starting to change, with many already on the ground. This colorful season is a bonus for any nature photographer with scenic being at the top of the list. I like to combine any wildlife I might encounter with a colorful background, which can be done rather easily at this time of the year. It all breaks down to being at the right place at the right time, and of course, having subjects to shoot! I always view fall as a slow time in nature photography, but I know I shouldn’t do that.
