‘Artist in Residence’ helps students with video

An “Artist in Residence” is helping 10 Kane Middle School students lay the groundwork for a video linked with the Kane Sesquicentennial in 2014.
Author PJ Piccirillo, a historical novelist from Brockport in southern Elk County, is showing the students how to gather information for the video. His appearance in Kane is sponsored, in part, by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and Arts in Education Partnership.
The school district, the Kane Historical Preservation Society, the Kane 150th Anniversary Committee and the Keystone SMILES Americorps also are hosting his visit to Kane.
