Alice B. Jones

Alice B. Jones, 90, of 2 Delaware Ave., James City, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011 at her residence.
Born Jan. 17, 1921 in Kittanning, she was the daughter of Albert A. and Mary J. Moore Bouch. On Nov. 9, 1940 in Winchester, Va., she married Carroll E. "Birch" Burton, who died in 1989. On June 21, 1995, she married Lawrence H. "Jonesy" Jones, who died in 2002.
Mrs. Jones had been a Medical Lab Technician at the Kane Community Hospital for many years, then later at the Ridgway Hospital.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kane and the Phoenix Chapter # 15, Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Leta Burton of North Bloomfield, Ohio; six grandchildren, John D. Jones, Jr., Charles Bunea, Holly Mitchell, Tim Garity, Jim Garity and Carol Lee Proctor; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death, besides her parents and husbands, are a daughter, Carol Garity, and six siblings.
A private visitation and service will be held at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. in Kane with the rev. William LaVelle, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Entombment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Warren.
