Ann E. Abraham, 81, formerly of Ridgway, died Friday evening at the Kane Community Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born Dec. 17, 1930 in Warren, daughter of the late Norman and Doris (Bartlett) Taylor. She married Calvin W. Abraham on Oct. 14, 1950, he preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 2008. She had resided in Ridgway for 40 years and had also lived in Kane for 14 years. She was a graduate of the Youngsville High School. She was a member of the Kane Baptist Church. She loved music and played piano and sang. She had been a member of the choir in both the Ridgway Church of Christ and the Kane Baptist Church. Ann loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by the following children: Mark L. Abraham of Riverton, Wyo., Alan L. Abraham and his wife Deborah of Youngsville, Cathy A. Steger and her husband Leo of Pickerington, Ohio, Carol M. Abraham of Enola, Jean M. Gaspari and husband Allen of Johnnsonburg, Patti Lynn Lindgren of Ridgway, Kay I. Squires and her husband Tim of St. Marys; 11 grandchildren, Brian, Douglas, Kevin, Christopher, Carrie, Kelly, Tara, Daniel, Shane, Brandon and Megan; five great-grandchildren, Peyton, Carter, Ainsley, Allie and Erick.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Michelle Abraham; one brother, George Taylor; and a son-in-law, Sheldon Lindgren.
Funeral Services for Ann E. Abraham will be held at the Ridgway Church of Christ on Monday, April 2 at 11 a.m.
Co-officiating will be James Kitelinger, minister at the Ridgway Church of Christ and Rev. Robert Lynch, pastor of the Kane Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home on Sunday from 5-8 p.m.
