Anna R. Johnson

Anna R. Johnson, 88, a long-time resident of James City, died early Sunday morning, Nov. 27, 2011 at The Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born Dec. 6, 1922 in James City, she was the daughter of Garland and Barbara Maze Haight. She was married to Robert Reigel, who died in 1945; then to Edward Bergstrom, who died in 1986; and finally to Melvin Johnson, who died in 1996.
A homemaker, she was a member of the former Assembly of God in James City, where she was the pianist and taught Sunday School.
Surviving are daughters Linda (Randy) Gatewood and Diane Erickson, both of Kane; sons Robert Reigel of James City and Kenneth Reigel of Clearfield; a brother, Leonard Haight of James City; and stepchildren Lois Green of Fredericksburg, Va. and Daniel Bergstrom of Smyrna, Tenn. Twelve grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her husbands, by a stepson, Donald Bergstrom.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. in Kane, and may attend a service at the funeral home at 1 p.m. on Thursday with the rev. David Pflieger, chaplain of The Lutheran Home at Kane, officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Kane.
