Anthony Thomas Vito

Anthony Thomas Vito, 91, of Levittown, passed away Sept. 28 2012 at St. Marys Hospital in Langhorne.  
He attended Kane High School, graduating in 1941. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1942 and after basic training was assigned to the Third Infantry Division. He participated in invasions in Africa, Sicily, Italy and Southern France. Anthony received the Bronze Star Medal and two Purple Hearts as well as Laurels from the French Government. During a brief visit to Rome he was granted an audience with the Pope.
Anthony is survived by his daughter, Robin Roth (Trelawney) of Fairless Hills; two siblings, Frank (Bonney) of Albuquerque, N.M., and James (Sharlene ) of Kane.  
He was preceded in death by his parents, Domenic and Grace Vito; three sisters and three brothers; and his devoted wife of 56 years, Doris Anderson, of Wilcox.
A celebration of life was held at Levittown Christian Church. Burial arrangements are private.
