Sneakers! Sneakers! Sneakers! What a great start to the Back to School Shoe Drive. Last year the community helped to provide new sneakers, socks and backpacks for more than 30 kids in the Kane Area School District. Let’s do it again plus some! Donations of new sneakers, socks and backpacks are needed for struggling or disadvantaged families with children in the Kane Area School District. Any and all sizes will be welcome. From little preschool feet to big high school feet. We want all school children to have a pair of new sneakers for the school year. They should be able to focus on their school work and not have to worry about what is on their feet. Having a new pair of shoes always makes you feel great. Don't feel like shopping, that's ok, we'll also accept cash/checks or gift cards and the staff/board at KACC will do the shopping. Families who would like to register to receive shoes may stop in the center anytime to fill out a request form. Shoes will be available on a first come first serve basis while supplies last. Prior registration is not necessary but recommended. Donations and requests will be accepted at the Kane Area Community Center from now until school starts.
