March 26, 2012

A 14-year-old Kane boy is facing charges in connection with a stabbing that caused injuries to a Kane man and the alleged assailant.
The boy has been charged with aggravated assault and "other charges," Kane Borough Police Chief Brian Hillard said Monday.
Kane Police Officer Bill Nichols responded to the stabbing at 1:16 a.m. March 18 at 335 Bayard St., Apt. 1.
Police said Brian Kopp of the 300 block of Welsh St., Kane, had been stabbed in the left hip area by a "large kitchen knife." Police said the man was visiting the residence as a "friend" of the boy's mother.
Police said the boy had been wielding two knives. Police said the boy sustained a lacerated hand.
