Candidates for Swedish Festival queen

Baylee Swanson (left) and Haley Williams (right) are the two candidates for queen of the annual Mt. Jewett Swedish Festival to be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Ashley Swanson (center), the daughter of Jeff and Missy Swanson of 143 W. Main St., Mt. Jewett, is the reigning Swedish Festival queen. Baylee, 13, is the daughter of Deb and Paul Swanson of 141 W. Main St., Mt. Jewett. She is the cousin of the reigning queen. Williams, 13, is the daughter of Bobbie Williams of 70 Brookwood Road, Kushequa, and Jim Banks of Cyclone. Both candidates for queen will be entering the eighth grade at the Kane Middle School. The crowning of the queen is part of the closing ceremony at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Center Street stage.
