Carol J. Nelson

Carol J. Nelson, 60, of 381 South Settlement Rd., Kane, died Saturday afternoon, Dec. 4, 2010, at The Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born April 26, 1950 in Ridgway, she was the daughter of Carl and Rosemond Schilk Wilson. On Oct. 12, 1974, she married James P. Nelson, who survives.
Mrs. Nelson worked at Blair New Process in Irvine for several years, then later as a nurses aide at The Lutheran Home at Kane for 18 years.
She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Kane, where she was a Sunday School Superintendent and teacher, and was a leader of the Crafty Kids there. She was the first female commander of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Warren County Chapter # 75 - D.A.V.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her mother of Kane; a daughter, Heather Musiner of Kane; five sisters, Sharon Rook, Karen Lundgren, Julie Wilson, Bev Wilson and Ginny Wilson, all of Kane; and three brothers, Mark Wilson, Carl Wilson, Jr. and Doug Wilson, all of Kane. One grandson and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceding her in death are her father and a sister, Alice Wilson.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. in Kane, and may attend a service there at 11 a.m. on Wednesday with the rev. Paul Smith, interim pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Kane.
